MARS's main focus is on the education of aquaculture. Currently we breed Cobia and are beginning research on breeding Peppermint Shrimp and Recordia. The purpose of our Cobia is to raise 5,000 - 10,000 fish to 10 lbs. each for sale as meat to our own restaurant that we plan to build next year. The by-product will then be composted and used to fertilize our Heirloom tomato plants and other vegetables.

In addition to our kids' fishing workshops, we also offer guided educational tours and field trips. All field trips can be modified to fit any age group from kindergarten through high school. We will take your group on a tour of the entire facility to include the lake, working aquaculture area, the laboratory, and gardening area. The cost is $10 per person and includes a cup of dry food to feed the fish at the end of the tour!
